Position Summary
The Facility Security Officer has overall responsibility and accountability for the efficient and productive operation of security, and acts as the primary liaison with government security personnel.
Preferred Experience
- 3+ years serving as Facility Security Officer for DOD and Intelligence Community (IC)
- Associate or bachelor's degree
- TS/SCI with Polygraph
- Experience with Insider Threat Programs
- Experience working in a SCIF environment
- Experience working in a possessing facility
- CDSE/STEPP - FSO Management for Possessing Facilities Course completion
Principle Duties and Responsibilities
- Security Administration
- Evaluate and supervise security operations, inclusive of physical security assets and personnel.
- Ensure that security processes, procedures and instructions are developed and maintained in strict accordance with the NISPOM as well as client specific’ physical and personal security requirements.
- Maintain compliance with all Federal laws, orders, or directives with respect to security.
- Manage day-to-day operations of the following: personnel clearance processing, indoctrination, reporting, debriefs, and periodic use of personnel clearance data systems.
- Coordinate with IT Security personnel to ensure IT system security plans are adequate, review system-related security plans and both company and client IT and security organizations.
- Prepare reports and records for management team as needed.
- Monitors and ensures procedures, practices and precedents are effective in meeting EKFox’s obligations and functions as it relates to EKFox’ s Security Program.
- Perform security audits and conduct physical surveys of premises.
- Manage the generation, submission, and ongoing maintenance of personal security clearances and accesses in coordination with the cognizant agency.
- Implement and manage the EKFox Security Training Program.
- Orient all new hires to security procedures and operations.
- Maintain an effective Travel Security Program.
- Prepare and Submit security incident reports to the customer for further review and adjudication.
- Monitors compliance with information security policies and procedures.
- Actively fosters positive and productive working relationships with client and subcontractor/consultant security counterparts.
