Position Summary

The Logistics Assistant at EKFox will primarily focus on shipping and receiving all project and company material. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively prioritize and multi-task. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, be able to clearly and effectively complete everyday tasks, be goal driven, and have a great attitude.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

  • Plans, schedules, and conducts efficient movement of material from receiving to warehouse and or fabrication.
  • Regularly unload freight from delivery carriers and check incoming shipments for mishandling or damage.
  • Accurately process and verify material receipts against shipped contents and compare material documentation to validate for accuracy and compliance.
  • Responsible for proper packaging, labeling and loading outbound shipments of materials to customers and vendors, including Hazardous Material.
  • Assist in Formulating, implementing and maintaining a standard inventory control process and appropriate procedures.

Minimum Requirements

  • 2-5 years working in a warehouse environment.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory management systems, such as Deltek or other software applications.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to operate a forklift.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds or more, use ladders, and bend and lift objects and packages of various shapes and sizes.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
  • Work location is in Chantilly, VA.

Preferred Experience

  • Security Clearance.
  • Work experience in an engineering or construction environment.
  • Local to the Northern Virginia area.
